Gregory (Greg) A. Anderson, 66, of Ottertail, MN, was born on April 19, 1958, in Lisbon, ND and came to rest and went to heaven on April 16, 2025. A beloved husband, dad, grandpa, brother and friend, his giant beaming smile and exuberance for life will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Greg would always greet you with wide, outstretched arms and a big hug.

Growing up on a dairy farm, Greg learned at an early age the satisfaction of hard work and carried that ethic with him over to his adult life through his work as an accountant/controller. He was proud to spend the last 20+ years of his career with Liberty Tire Recycling in Savage, MN where he forged many great friendships with his colleagues and co-workers at Liberty's many sites throughout the United States as Regional Controller for the Upper Midwest Region, which encompassed sites in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa, retiring from that position the end of December 2022.

Greg had a natural way of connecting with everyone he met. He would be the first to introduce himself and want to get to know you. If you met Greg even once, you would be his friend for life. Greg nurtured his friendships and was known by many names within his large and ever-expanding circle of friends - Bernie, Andy, Greggers, Captain and Champion or Champ, to name a few.

Greg had a great enthusiasm for holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas, and would create elaborate outdoor displays. He enjoyed watching neighbors and passersby slow down and admire the decorations, especially when they would stop and take pictures.

Greg's idea of relaxing was keeping busy. He loved playing with his grandkids. He took pride in his yard and was always puttering outside planting and doing yardwork. Greg enjoyed the sunshine and heat and loved being outside golfing, laying on a beach or playing beach volleyball, and floating around the lake on the pontoon, especially with family and friends in tow. He enjoyed both watching and playing sports and was the renowned ping pong champ of Creek Way for many years.

Greg is survived by his loving wife, Rhanda; children and grandchildren: Samantha Coykendall (Matt, children Eve, Myra and Nev); Jayce Seelig (Kyla, children Zane, Emmitt and Elliott); and Brittany Anderson; sister Gail Gunderson and brother Marty Anderson (Cecy).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernie and Mary Anderson.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 17, 2025, at The Woodshed Bar and Grill, Ottertail, MN from 1:00-4:00 pm with an open floor opportunity for sharing memories at 2:00 pm.
