Gregory Scott Bennett 6/17/1956 - 4/21/2022
Reverend Gregory Scott Bennett went home to his Heavenly Father on April 21, 2022. He was surrounded by family and loved ones who were all fortunate enough to be touched by his wisdom, compassion and unconditional love.
Everything that he did in life, he did with great fervor. Talking about cars over doughnuts and artificially sweetened tea. Playing music with his children, his grandchildren or with one of the many community bands he participated in. Traveling with his family and friends to some of the most beautiful places on Earth. Above all else he loved sharing the Word of God and dedicated his life to Him.
His love for the Lord helped guide his hand to help plant multiple churches while growing as a clergyman. He studied The Word and was ordained in 2014. He then accepted His calling as Rector of Resurrection Traditional Anglican Church in Saint Augustine Florida, in spring of 2021. Greg's dedication to The Almighty was witnessed by all through his deeds and words every day of his life. Greg is survived by his wife Karen; his children Chris, (Sarah) James, (Kim) Sherry (Eric), Richard "Jacky" (Lisa), Jamie; and 16 wonderful grandchildren.
Greg's life will be celebrated at:
Craig Funeral Home
1475 Old Dixie Highway
St Augustine, Florida 32084
904-824-1672
Monday May 2, 2022 at an 11am service with a public viewing at 10am prior to the service.
