Send FlowersGregory "Greg" L. Cain, 79, Marion, passed away peacefully at 12:56 pm on Saturday, November 8, 2025, in Greenfield, Indiana. He was born on December 11, 1945, in Lafayette, Indiana, to Walter Cain and G. Lilian (Cozad) Cain.
Greg was a proud graduate of Marion High School. He dedicated many years of his career as a manager with Dollar General, where he was known for his leadership and commitment. Greg enjoyed fishing and watching sports--especially cheering on his favorite teams.
Greg is survived by his children: Gregory L. Cain Jr. (Jan) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Tammy R. Zetterberg (Wendell) of Kirklin, Indiana; and Tina L. Torres (Hector) of Michigantown, Indiana. He is also survived by his sister, Debra "Debbie" Yergens of Greenfield, Indiana; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cherished friends; and his beloved cat, Gray Kitty.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and G. Lilian Cain, and his sister, Janet Darlene Schaumleffel.
Greg will be remembered for his kind heart, love for family, and the joy he found in life's simple pleasures. His legacy lives on in the lives of those he touched.
The family will receive visitors from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Greg's life will begin at 2:00 pm with Pastor Dan Van Cise officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Grant Memorial Park.

Many Won't know me but Greg was my Stepfather.
I will Miss You! Im So glad I got to see You In 2022 Befor My Mom Passed. I have Many Childhood memories too.
My fondest Memory was My 15th Birthday and you Made me Fried Chicken and all the trimmings for My Birthday Dinner. I Sure will miss you Tell My Mom Hello from us down here Rest Easy Glad You are no Longer in Pain.

Greg, you was one of my best friends and the best boss ever you will always be my family I will miss you forever! I love you Greg! This just does not seem real! R.I.P. you´re with God now and your mommy and sister! And no more pain! You was always there for me helped me through so much in my life and I Thank you for that!
