Gregory "Greg" Marshall Cody, 52, of Oak Ridge, formerly of Dryden went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Greg was born on August 29, 1972 in Dayton, Ohio. Greg was a 1991 graduate of Lee High School. He excelled in football and continued his love for football by cheering on the Tennessee Vols every chance he had. Greg loved his family and was a loving husband, caring brother, adored son, and proud uncle.
Greg was preceded in death by his mother, Saundra Carter Cody.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Melanie Thacker Cody; father, Darrell Cody; brother, Gary Cody and wife Susan; nieces, Brianna Cody and Kayla Cody.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at Pennington Gap Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Chad Napier officiating.
A committal service will follow at Mountain View Cemetery and Memorial Gardens in Harrogate, Tennessee. Ronnie Pendergraft, Brian Mosley, Freddy Marion, Keith Wells, Tim Gibson, and Aaron Hatfield serve as pallbearers.
Gregory "Greg" Marshall Cody and his family are in the care of Pennington Gap Funeral Home.
