Gregory Dale Cooper, age 62, of Perkinston, passed away on November 4, 2025.
As a beloved husband for 42 years, he shared in life's joys and challenges with his wife, Paula Cooper. Their bond was a testament to love and partnership, built on a foundation of mutual respect and devotion. Together, they raised a son who brought them immense pride: Chase Cooper, married to Jessica, who continued to carry forward the values that Gregory instilled in them.
Gregory was a loving son to his father, Donald Cooper, and held dear memories of his late mother, Barbara Cooper, whose nurturing spirit guided him throughout his life. He cherished his siblings—Jeff Cooper, married to Tami; Rusty Cooper; Carol Griffin, married to Danny; Denice Gorman, married to Karl; and Bill Prine, married to Paula—each of whom contributed to the rich tapestry of family life.
The joy of being a grandfather brought him immense satisfaction, as he delighted in the lives of his grandchildren, Jase and Masyn Cooper. His legacy continues through them as they carry forward the values he upheld.
Gregory's extended family will miss him dearly, including his nephews, Jeffery, Jeremy, and Garrett Cooper, and his nieces, Danielle Williams, Allison Sexton, Mackenzee Cooper, and Korey Gorman. Each shared in moments of laughter and support, forming bonds that will echo in their hearts.
Though his son, Damon Cooper, preceded him in death, the love between them remains an unbreakable connection and a testament to the depth of Gregory's parental love.
Throughout his life, Gregory exemplified hard work, dedication, and a passion for education as a mechanic auto teacher at Harrison County CTE that inspired many. He leaves behind not only a legacy of commitment within the educational field but also a profound impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit and the values he instilled will undoubtedly endure in the lives of those he touched.
