Gregory O’Neil Crawford, Sr., 53, of Lynchburg, Virginia completed his earthly journey on March 8, 2024. He was born January 13th, 1971 in Lynchburg, VA. Gregory was the beloved son of Nellie J. Crawford.
Gregory was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and son. He was an avid lover of all sports, with football being his first love. At a young age Gregory showed an enthusiasm for football, which led him to win The State of Virginia Football Championship in 1988 with E. C. Glass High. To this day, Gregory and his friends share memories of this moment that will last a lifetime.
Gregory's devotion to his family and friends was like no other. His strong, yet gentle demeanor made everyone who entered his presence feel comfortable. Gregory later found a passion for music, traveling, and cornhole which he loved to participate in during his leisure time. Gregory’s tenacious spirit will never be forgotten. Although we will deeply miss his presence on earth, we confidently know that Gregory is now rejoicing and completely healed in the presence of his Lord and Savior.
Gregory is survived by his children: Tiffany Steeples, Nauteca Porter, Tre, and Ge’Cory Crawford; his granddaughter: Lyriq Barron; his sister: Vonyetta “Missy” Crawford; Nieces: Azhani Crawford, and D’Mahria Sales. In addition, Gregory is preceded in death by grandmother: Grace B. Crawford; Aunts: Eva L. Jefferson, and Linda Turner; and cousin; Andre “Tadpole” Crawford. Gregory also leaves to cherish his memory with his lifelong partner: Jessica Dawson, and many loving family members and friends.
