Gregory Allen Davis, age 59, of Madisonville, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Thursday, December 12, 2024.
He was born and raised in Monroe County and graduated from Hiwassee College. He worked for 30 years at Kimberly-Clark as a process specialist before his retirement.
Greg was a member of and Elder at Madisonville Presbyterian Church where he headed the Christian Education Committee.
Greg was widely known for his humor and dry wit and telling stories of family and friends. He will be remembered for his anonymous gift giving throughout the community. He was extremely proud of the accomplishments of his children, Greg most enjoyed time spent with his grandson, Thomas and other family members. He loved collecting baseball cards, playing golf and watching Atlanta Braves baseball.
Survivors include his wife, Casey Ivens Davis, children, Tori Renee and Joshua Martin, Nicklaus Allen Davis, mother, Gail Davis and sibling, Kelly and Dwight Torbett, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Allen Davis.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Madisonville Presbyterian Church at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, December 15, 2024, with Rev. John H. Pennington officiating. Memorials may be made to Madisonville Presbyterian Church, 201 Main Street, Madisonville, TN 37354 or Sarah Cannon Research Institute, 335 24th Avenue N., S200, Nashville, TN 37203. Arrangements by Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
