Gregory "Greg" David Ewald, 67, Rockford, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021, at home. He was born October 3, 1953, in Rockford, the son of David and Betti (Lagerstrom) Ewald. Greg was a graduate of Illinois State University. He married Dianna Schreiber in Las Vegas, NV on January 19, 1994. Greg worked in the insurance industry for over 30 years. He was an avid fan of the Packers, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the New York Yankees. Greg enjoyed his pet cats.
Survived by his wife, Dianna; his sons, Charles "Chuck" Ebel of Omaha and Matthew "Matt" (Brie Phillips) Aron of Sevierville, TN; his grandchildren, Chaz and Chloe Ebel and Katiyanna, Phinneas, and Augustus Aron; his sister-in-law, Carol Ewald of Rockford. Predeceased by his brother, Bruce and his parents.
