Gabrielle Ruth Ericson was born on June 14, 1958, and peacefully entered eternal rest on January 29, 2026.Gabrielle devoted her life to caring for others, serving as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) since 1983. Nursing was more than a career to her-it was her calling. Through her compassion, strength, and unwavering dedication, she touched countless lives and brought comfort and dignity to everyone in her care.She was a beautiful woman inside and out, admired for her honesty, bold spirit, and fearlessness in expressing how she felt. Gabrielle was never afraid to speak her truth, and those who knew her respected her authenticity and strength.Above all, Gabrielle deeply loved her grandchildren. They were her pride and joy, and her love for them was endless. Her laughter, wisdom, and fierce devotion will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her. Gabrielle leaves to cherish her memory her loving children: Niveda (DeMarcus), Cheriea (James), and Harold (Emily). Her beloved grandchildren: Corey, Jalen, DeMarcus Jr., DeMya, Alexa, Angel, Jahliya, and Ava. She is also survived by her mother, Gean Rushton; her brothers, Haywood Duncan and Johnnie Duncan; her sisters, Shirley Conley, Brenda Jones, and Arjunese Turner; her favorite aunt, Pearl Simon; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Gabrielle was preceded in death by her father, Adolph "Billy" Duncan; her sister, Rosetta Brown; her grandparents, Izer and Fannie Tilson; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. doors will be open from 12:00 noon
