Roy Dean Miller

Roy Dean Miller of Rockford, Illinois; departed this earthly life on March 1, 2026. He was born May 12, 1954, in El Dorado, Arkansas; the son of Kirby and Nettie Miller.

Roy lived in Rockford since 2013, coming from Los Angeles; California. He worked as an Aircraft Building Planner at the Long Beach Naval Shipyard and later at McDonnell Douglas Corporation in Long Beach, California. Roy was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He was a devoted member of Living Faith Tabernacle, where he faithfully served as an Associate Minister. Roy graduated from Santa Monica High School and attended Santa Monica College.

Roy leaves to cherish many loving memories: his three daughters, Abnika White, Jenika Miller, and Orisha Miller; five grandchildren, Uchenna, A.J., Elijah, Jayla, and Janaiyah; his sister, Ora Sanders; his brother, Anthony Miller; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Gloria Powell.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Living Faith Tabernacle, 530 8th Street. Burial at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
