Gregory P. Gillmore

Gregory P. Gillmore, 80, of Estero, FL, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025. Born on August 9, 1945, in Rockville Center, NY, he was the beloved son of the late Harry K. and Maria M. (née Warheit) Gillmore. Greg made his home in Estero and Southwest Florida since 1998, after many years in Miami, FL. Greg was a proud graduate of Miami-Dade College and dedicated much of his career as a deep tissue massage therapist. His devotion to his patients was remarkable-he continued to travel regularly back to Miami even after relocating to Southwest Florida, ensuring they received the care they needed. As a young husband and father, Greg worked three jobs so his wife could remain at home to care for their children. He was a gifted cook and found joy in fishing, scuba diving, and free diving. Above all, Greg was a man who always put family first. In 1994, he selflessly donated bone marrow to his brother, a gift that extended his life by two precious years. His son Britton lovingly remembered him as, "My Hero." Greg is survived by his children, Britton T. Gillmore of Ft. Myers, FL, and Anona Stetson of Crawfordville, FL; five cherished grandchildren; and his devoted companion and caregiver of the past 15 years, Marjorie Gillmore of Estero, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert Britton "Brit" Gillmore. Private family services will be held.
