Regina "Jean" Marie Voegeli
08/14/1927 - 11/10/2025
Regina "Jean" Marie Voegeli, 98, of Bonita Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025, at the Renaissance at the Terraces after an extended illness.
Born on August 14, 1927, in Toledo, Ohio, Jean was the beloved daughter of the late Raymond and Lorine (née Fitzgerald) O'Boyle. She grew up in Toledo, and later devoted many years of service to St. John's High School, where she worked as secretary to the Assistant Principal. Her warmth, kindness, and strong work ethic left a lasting impression on faculty, students, and families alike.
Jean was a devoted member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish and participated enthusiastically in the Altar Society. Her faith and parish community were central parts of her life.
A woman of many talents and joyful passions, Jean was an avid bridge player and tennis enthusiast. She especially loved tap dancing, a hobby that brought her enormous pride and adventure. In 2001, at the age of 74, she fulfilled a lifelong dream by performing in the Macy's Day Parade as part of a tap-dancing group, the Manhattan Dancers, a memory she cherished and shared often.
Jean had been a resident of Bonita Springs since 2019, having moved from Toledo to be closer to her family.
She is survived by her loving children: her son, Timothy Voegeli, and her daughter, Susan DeLong (Beattie), all of Bonita Springs, FL; and her daughter-in-law, Sue Voegeli. She also leaves behind four cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Jennifer, Billy, and Tony; as well as six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her great joy and pride. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her beloved husband, William T. Voegeli; and son, Michael Voegeli.
Funeral services will be held at a later date in Toledo, Ohio, with burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jean's honor may be made to St. Charles Borromeo Parish or St. John's High School in Toledo, Ohio-organizations that were close to her heart.
