Mr. Gregory “Greg” Scot Hardison, 67, of Gaston, died on November 17, 2025, at the Lexington Medical Center, following an extended illness.
Born on December 27, 1957, in Columbia, SC, he was a son of the late Harold Voss Hardison and Hazel Odom Hardison. He graduated from Williston-Elko High School in Williston. Following graduation, Greg entered the United States Army and served his Country faithfully. He retired as a professional window treatment installer for E.D.’s Paint and Decorating of Lexington after over 40 years of dedicated service. He was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church in Lexington. Greg will be remembered for his kindness, gentleness and love for his family.
Survivors include his wife, Mare W. Hardison of the home; a son, Mikiah T. Baker of West Columbia; daughters, Lyndsay H. Murray (Joe), Wendy Parkman (Michael), and Angie Baker all of Columbia; two granddaughters whom he adored, Alexa M. Murray and Londyn Jayne Murray, a niece, Olivia S. Fowler (Damjan) of Vienna, Virginia; mother-in-law, Marie C. Wright of Columbia; and a host of friends. In addition to his parents, Greg was predeceased by a brother, Donald T. Hardison and a cousin, Deborah Smith Hoffman.
A Celebration of Life Service, with military honors, will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Oakwood Baptist Church, 3520 Mineral Springs Road, Lexington, SC. Memorial contributions may be made in Greg’s memory to the MUSC Vascular Surgical Center, 2750 Laurel St Suite 200, Columbia, SC 29204. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the Agape In House Hospice and the Nurses of the 10th Floor of the Lexington Medical Center for their exceptional care. JP Holley Funeral Home, Columbia, is honored to serve the Hardison family.
