Gregory Eugene "Greg" Holm

Gregory Eugene Holm, 68 years old, of Downers Grove, Illinois, has peacefully passed away after a series of illnesses. Never married, but living with family, Greg was the beloved son of the late Frederick and the late Dorothy (nee Stelzer) Holm. He was also the loving step-son of the late Lois (nee Kusch) Dahl. Greg was the dear brother and step-brother of Donald (Laura), the late Kenneth (Susan) Holm, Lynette (the late Robert) Stewart, David (Debi) Dahl and Stephen (Karen) Dahl. He was a devoted uncle and grand-uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Greg also had eighteen cousins he held with great affection. Despite a challenging life, Greg persevered to work most of his adult life as an office assistant for SunGard and FIS Corporations, in Lombard, IL, until his retirement in 2022. Greg liked to spend his leisure time attending many hundreds of local high school sporting events along with the Kane County Cougars minor league baseball team. Greg also had well used memberships to a variety of large and small museums in the Chicago area.

Visitation services will be held on Tuesday, May 13 th, 2025, from 9:30am to 11:00am at Cappetta's West Suburban Funeral Home, 4920 Main St., Downers Grove, IL 60515. Closing chapel prayers at the funeral home will commence at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Hazel Green Cemetery in Alsip, IL., located at the southeast corner of 115th and Laramie.
