Gregory James Katich, 64, of Etna, passed away suddenly. Loving father of Corinne Katich (Nick Baker) and proud grandfather to Charlotte, Skylar, and Trey Baker. Devoted partner of the late Debra Kimball. Survived by siblings John (Susanne), Dave (Debra), Mark (Joyce) and sisters Beverly (Eugene) Gazdik, Anita, and Lisa Katich Szalinski and many nieces and nephews; preceded in death by his parents John V. and Dolores Katich. A quiet soul with a big heart, Greg lived for rock and roll and had a true passion for playing the bass—he could pick up his guitar and play just about anything. He loved history, geography, and, most of all, spending time with his grandkids, whose presence could light up his face like nothing else. Greg also loved his cats, and it seemed that every animal he met loved him as much as he loved them. He will be remembered for his music, his knowledge, and his loyalty to those he loved. As Greg would say- rock on. Until we meet again. Friends will be received on Saturday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Bock Funeral Home, Ltd, 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw. In honor of Greg, please give your loved ones a kiss and remind them how much you love them.
