Gregory Krueger Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Generations Funeral Home & Crematory - Tomahawk on Jan. 8, 2026.
Gregory Kyle Krueger, age 36, of the Town of Lynne, Tripoli, WI, passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. Greg was born in Wausau, WI, on March 16, 1989, to Paul and Mary (Weidman) Krueger. Greg met and married his true love, Tabitha Zietlow, on May 18, 2019.
Greg started school in Wausau and then in second grade, attended the Prentice School District where he graduated in 2007. He then attended the Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire, WI, for autobody repair. Greg returned home working side by side with his dad in construction. He learned so much and together they were able to build Greg his dream home equipped with a car lift. Greg enjoyed working on vehicles for family and friends. He was a hard worker, always eager to learn new things, and never gave up. He also worked at the Minocqua Winter Park grooming the cross-country trails. From February 2012 to June 2023, Greg worked as a road maintenance employee for the Town of Lynne taking pride in his work in maintaining the town roads to keep them safe for the community. He worked for County Materials from June 2023 until the time of his death.
While attending the Prentice School District, Greg formed lifelong friendships. He became especially close with three men Ed, Tom, and Zach. Friendships that began in school and only grew stronger with time. The bond they shared was evident as they stood up for one another at their weddings and, to this day, remained close friends who always looked out for one another and stepped in whenever help was needed. Greg had so many friends it is just impossible to try and name them all. Living in the Town of Lynne for much of his life, he knew just about everyone. He loved living in the Willow and was a member of the Willow Region Sportsman Club where he enjoyed working on their fundraiser. Greg had a warm and welcoming spirit, made friends easily, and genuinely cared for others. He always had a smile, a joke to tell, or a funny story to share. If you knew Greg, you loved Greg, and he felt the same way in return!
Survivors include his loving wife, Tabitha; his precious little girl, Clara, whom he adored and was so very proud of; his parents, Paul and Mary Krueger; and his half-sister, Sarah Williams. Greg is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ruebea Sophia Rose; his paternal grandparents, Jack and Pat Krueger; his maternal grandparents, Ruth and Ralph Weidman; and his uncles, Mike Krueger and Marty Krueger.
A visitation to remember Greg and say one last final goodbye will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Generations Funeral Home, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.
