Dona Jahn Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Generations Funeral Home & Crematory - Tomahawk on Feb. 14, 2026.
Dona J. Jahn, age 90, a lifelong resident of Spirit Falls, WI, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 13, 2026. Dona was born on January 8, 1936, in Tomahawk, WI, to the late Willis and Gladys (Pfalzgraff) Ernst.

Dona was a 1953 graduate of Tripoli High School where she was salutatorian and cheerleader. At age 17, Dona married the love of her life, George "Pat" Jahn, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. Side by side, they farmed with Dona finding her greatest happiness outdoors, tending to her flower beds, watching wildlife, and embracing country life. In addition to farming, Dona and Pat also operated the local store in Spirit Falls. Dona held various jobs throughout her life including working at Ben Franklin, cleaning cabins, and spending many years at the local mink ranch before retiring at the age of 65. She was involved in her community serving as the Town of Tomahawk Clerk and Supervisor. Dona was a true animal lover. She faithfully fed birds and wildlife daily, often filling feeders multiple times a day to ensure the hummingbirds and other critters were well cared for. Even when it became difficult for her to get around, she would call on her children to make sure the animals were tended to. In retirement, she and Pat shared a passion for woodworking, selling their crafted items at their booth in the Old Towne Mall. They also enjoyed traveling and exploring the country and Canada in their motor home. One of their favorite destinations was Branson, MO, and they especially treasured the times when family joined them on their adventures. Always steadfast in her ways, Dona's love for her family was unwavering and she cherished time spent with them. She was a faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her children, Luanne (Bob) Karl, Wayne (Wanda) Jahn, Vicki (Craig) Madlung, and Kevin (Luann) Jahn; her son-in-law, Scott Lindner; her brother, David "Ernie" Ernst; and her sisters, Dalpha (Larry) Halvorson, and Doreen Johnson. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Heather, Angie, Jennie, Kyle, Andy, Sarah, Cody, Dustin, Christopher, Raleigh, and Lily; her great-grandchildren, Kayleigh, Kelsi, Skylar, Tapanga, Colton, Mia, Kenny, Peyton, Brantley, Ryker, Maverick, Austin, Audrey, Aiden, Callen, Elaina, and Ellis; her great-great grandchildren, Hadleigh, Haelyn, Hucksten, and Kowyn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Gladys; her husband, Pat; her daughter, Linda Lindner, her great-grandson, Becham Gaudynski; and her sisters, Darlene Anderson and Daletta Grimm.

Funeral services for Dona Jahn will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Generations Funeral Home, at 11:30 AM. Her son, Rev. Wayne Jahn, will officiate. The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 11:30 AM. Burial will take place at Spirit Falls Cemetery in the spring.
