Gregory Lynn Long, 75, of Falling Waters West Virginia, formally of Hagerstown Maryland passed away Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Hospice of the Pan Handle, Kearneysville West Virginia. He was the son of the late Beverly Jane Hines (Long) of Hagerstown Maryland.
Gregory adored his family and was a devoted husband, father and pappy. He did everything for his family. He was a diehard Nascar fan who enjoyed traveling to the Daytona 500 and to Charlotte North Carolina to tour the Nascar garages. He enjoyed following his favorite sports teams...Orioles baseball, the Baltimore Ravens, and Alabama Crimson Tide football. In his younger years he enjoyed golf and bowling.
Gregory is preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruth M Long, his mother, Beverly J. Hines (Long), his step father, Stephen A Hines Sr., and his daughter, Ashley Denise Long.
Gregory is survived by his loving wife, Joyce (Duggins) Long; his children: Tami Lynn Long and Tye Everett Long. He is also survived by his brother: Stephen Hines, jr.; his sister: Donna (Hines) Harding (Kevin); four grandchildren: Isaac Hartman, Diamonte Burke, Da'shyah Long and Ashton Long; his nephews: Robby Windle (Nikki) and Jimmy Windle (Christine); niece: Bethany Lewis (Chip); multiple cousins; and several close friends.
There will be a receiving of friends and family on Monday, October 13, 2025 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home in Hagerstown, MD, with a graveside service to follow at Rest Haven Cemetery.
