Gregory Allen Mangum, 78, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away on December 12, 2025, at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital.
Born on April 15, 1947 in Plattsburgh, New York. Gregory lived a life rooted in service, commitment, and precision. He proudly served as an Aviation Electronics Technician and retired in 1997 with 20 years of honorable service with the United States Navy. A career that reflected both his technical skill and his deep sense of responsibility to his country.
Gregory was a devoted husband and father to his beloved wife, Susan, of 49 years and his daughter, Linda. He was the son of John Mangum and Hazel Passno. Gregory valued structure, loyalty, and perseverance-qualities that shaped both his professional life and the relationships he held dear.
Greg will be deeply missed by all who knew him and be remembered for his love for his family, his humor, creativity, and love of animals. His family will forever hold his love and memory close in their hearts. And his friends will cherish the memories they shared with him.
Simply Cremation is assisting his family with arrangements. His memory will remain a source of comfort to those who loved him.
