Graveside services for Gregory Burns Moore will be held on Saturday, at 12:00 PM, on February 11, 2023, at Leesville Cemetery with Bro. David Woodham officiating under the direction of Jeane's Funeral Service.
Greg was born November 16, 1971 in Lake Charles, Louisiana and passed away February 9, 2023 in Leesville, Louisiana at the age of 51.
Greg was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. A few sentences can't explain the type of man Greg was and is in our hearts. He was hardworking, honest, and he was the same person no matter who was around. He was always willing to give the shirt off his back for anyone and expected nothing in return. Everyone knew if they needed help, they could call "Country". He was a jack of all trades, spending many years working in carpentry and electrical and most recently worked for Valiant on Ft. Polk. He enjoyed cooking for his family, watching LSU football and baseball, taking care of his cows, and spending time with his Uncle Don. After being diagnosed with ALS in January 2021, he was uplifted and supported by many in the community. He gave his life to the Lord in 2021 and attended Simpson First Assembly. The family would like to give special acknowledgement to David and Freda Woodham for all their support, encouragement, and prayers. Greg loved his weekly visits with David getting to do bible study, talk, and pray together.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Gary Moore Sr and Gloria Moore.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Tammy Moore;
son, Tanner Moore and his wife Morgan;
daughter, Emily Moore;
granddaughter, Adeline, grandson, Jayce;
uncle and aunt, Don and Jeri Burns;
brother, Gary Moore Jr.;
cousins: Dennis Burns and wife Suzi, Donna Carpenter and husband Chet, Dina Smith and husband Bobby, and a host of extended family members and friends.
