Gregory Brett Morris, age 46, of Baxley passed away Friday, September 19, 2025.
Brett was born December 9, 1978 in Appling County and was a jack of all trades; a carpenter, wood worker and enjoyed the outdoors. Brett was employed at JAC Industrial Maintenance as a welder/craftsman. He was preceded in death by his father, Greg Morris, sister, Katie Jones, maternal grandparents, Bonnie & Jake Beecher, paternal grandparents, Ellis & Frances Jones, Janet Hendrix and Junior Morris and his beloved dog, Ollie.
Survivors include his sons, Brady (Destiny) Morris of Surrency and Gavin Morris of Douglas; mother, Lana Beecher of Baxley; his companion, Pattie Taylor of Baxley; sister, Marina Morris of Waycross; brothers, Derek (Alisha) Jones of Surrency and Brody (Abby) Jones of Clarksville; stepfather, Henry (Marsha) Jones of Baxley; and a cousin who was like a brother, Joe (Christian) Smith of Baxley; nieces and nephews, James, Maddox, Maddalyne, Jagger, Lilly, Sophia and Tyler; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Pastor Darron Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Roy Wigley, Russell Ware, Cody Hallman, Antwon Jackson, Joe Smith, Brody Jones and Derek Jones.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Swain Funeral Home.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
