Gregory Carl Schepman, age 47, of Crothersville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning, August 30, 2025, on his family farm. Greg had a strong faith and was a devoted, lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Sauers, where he was baptized into Christ on December 18, 1977, and confirmed in his faith on April 12, 1992. He held various offices at his church, including serving as a trustee and as a member of the fair stand committee. Family, farming, and fishing were Greg's greatest joys in life. To know Greg was to love him with his bright spirit and outgoing personality. Greg was a beloved son, grandson, brother, husband, and father. He was deeply loved by his family and cherished every moment spent with them. He was especially proud of his triplet sons and his daughter, whose lives brought him great joy and whom he deeply loved. Greg was also a loyal and valued friend to many, always ready with a helping hand and a kind word. All his life, he farmed alongside his father and brother, and most recently with his sons. He took great pride in continuing the family tradition of farming that had been passed down through five generations. One of Greg's favorite pastimes was walking the fields checking on the crops. To Greg, being a farmer was about faith, family, and feeding others through honest, hard work. Fishing was more than a hobby to Greg, as it was an important and meaningful part of his life. He treasured the time spent on fishing trips with family and friends, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Greg also had a passion for playing basketball, a sport he truly enjoyed. Born on November 25, 1977, in Seymour, Greg was the son of Richard and Kris (Jaynes) Schepman, both of whom survive in Crothersville. On November 20, 1999, he married Angela Schneck, and she survives in Crothersville. Survivors also include three sons: Ben Schepman, Jake Schepman, and Sam Schepman, all of Crothersville; one daughter, Anna Schepman of Crothersville; one brother, Drew (Lindsey) Schepman of Crothersville; mother-in-law, Nickie Schneck of Seymour; paternal grandmother, Gertrude Schepman of Seymour; niece and nephews: Josie Schneck, Luke Schepman, and Kade Schepman; and brother-in-law, Brad (Ginger) Schneck. Greg was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Don Schneck; paternal grandfather, Willard "Bill" Schepman; and maternal grandparents, Don and Evelyn Jaynes. Funeral services for Gregory Carl Schepman will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 5, 2025, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Sauers, with Pastor Craig Muhlbach officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 5, 2025, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Sauers. Interment will follow at St. John's Lutheran Church, Sauers Cemetery. In honor of his cherished daughter, Anna, memorials may be given to help ensure she continues to enjoy a joyful and meaningful life.
