Alex William McPike, age 36, of Seymour, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Franciscan Health, Greenwood, surrounded by his loving family and a close friend. Alex was a longtime member of Brownstown Christian Church, where he served on the First Impression Ministry, Discipleship Team, and the Media Department. He had a strong faith and often quoted his favorite Bible verse: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13). Alex had a deep passion for farming and hunting, and he was an avid sports fan, always cheering for the Indiana Hoosiers, Notre Dame football, Indianapolis Colts and Pacers, Cincinnati Reds, and his hometown Brownstown Braves. Alex deeply loved his family, and his most treasured role in life was being an uncle to his nephew and nieces. As an involved and active uncle, he was always playing games, joining in their adventures, and making sure they felt loved. Known for being a friend to many and never meeting a stranger, Alex always had a bright smile, infectious laugh, generous spirit, and caring heart. He was ever ready to lend a helping hand to others and brought warmth and kindness wherever he went. Born on February 19, 1989, in Seymour, Alex was the son of Gregory Dale and Andrea Jean (Roller) McPike, both of whom survive in Medora.
