Gregory Schultz Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 1, 2010.
Greg, age 52, was a loving husband to Julia and a proud father of Breanna. He was a cherished son to Beatrice and the late Stanley. A dear brother to Nancy. An uncle to Alyssa. Greg was an Eastpointe (formerly East Detroit) resident his entire life. He attended St. Veronica Grade School and Notre Dame High School (1976). Greg followed in his father's footsteps and became a funeral director. He graduated from Wayne State School of Mortuary Science in 1980. He began working for his Dad cutting the grass at the funeral home as a young teenager. Greg was very involved in the funeral home business and was well respected in his profession. He completed his Bachelor's Degree in Business at Walsh College. Greg and Julia were married May 16, 1981. They met at a high school dance at Notre Dame. One of the proudest moments for Greg was the birth of his daughter, Breanna, on June 8, 1995. Many of his friends and family remember how he enjoyed running, biking, his cameras, and vacations. A simple day at home sitting by the pool and reading a book was how Greg liked to relax. Friends stopping over to swim and talk would make for a perfect day. Greg was a good and kind man who will be missed by many. Visitation will be held at S.K. Schultz Funeral Home at 43300 Garfield (just north of 19 Mile Rd.) in Clinton Township, Michigan 48038 on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 beginning at 4:00PM till 9:00PM. The second day of visitation will be Wednesday, December 8, 2010 with visitation beginning at 1:00PM till 9:00PM. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Veronica Catholic Church 21440 Universal in Eastpointe, Michigan 48021 on Thursday, December 9, 2010. Visitation at church will begin at 9:00 AM till the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
