Greg Solewin was born February 25, 1970 in New Hampshire. He was the youngest of four

siblings, having two older brothers and an older sister. He grew up in a small town in the

deserts of Arizona and enlisted in the army at the age of 17. He proceeded to spend the next 25

years in the Army as a dedicated soldier and selflessly fought for the causes and ideas that he

believed in. Anyone who had the honor of meeting him could feel the passion he had for

serving his country. He believed in liberty, freedom, and kicking ass. He believed in sticking up

for those who were unable to do it for themselves. Greg would often state the quote by Thomas

Jefferson “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots”. He

knew the risks and repeatedly put his life on the line for others. When the time came for him to

lay his life down in service, it was a sacrifice he fearlessly made. He was preceded in death by

his daughter Britany in 2005 but is survived by his wife Katie, his son Connor, daughters Sierra,

Morgan, and Hailey, his parents George and Roz, and his siblings George, Steve and Harrison.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday August 2, 2024 at Mt. Home National Cemetery at 11 AM in the historic section of the cemetery, with Military Honors by the U.S. Army.
