Gregory David Wainscott, 55, of Lawrenceburg, died Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Versailles, Kentucky to the late Jack Carlton and Pauline Rogers Wainscott. He was currently employed by Hot Works and formerly employed by Osram Sylvania for over 25 years. He was a KY Colonel and member of Rolling Thunder Chapter 5 KY.
Greg is survived by three children, Zachary David Wainscott, Logan Chase Wainscott, and Mia Katherine Wainscott; two grandchildren, Darren Rugar and Weston Zane Allen Wainscott; all of Lawrenceburg; two brothers, Michael (Jeanie) Wainscott, Lawrenceburg, and Brian Wainscott, Richmond.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Darren Bradley and Glen Jeffrey Wainscott.
Funeral service will be held at 11 am. Friday, June 3, 2022 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Todd Matonich and Lynn Beech officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday and 10-11 a.m. Friday prior to the service.
Honorary bearers will be Bob Abshire, Stevie Kincaid, Jimmie Mac, Chris Walker, PJ Markin, Jeff Robinson, Mike Fawbush, and Hunter Justice.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Rolling Thunder, P.O. Box 11726 Lexington, Kentucky 40577.
