Roberta was born to Earl & Gertrude Carter in Louisville, KY.
She is preceded in death by her infant son David, daughter Karen, husband Harry and son Lloyd.
She is survived by her youngest, David, grandchildren Starre, Chris, Pari and Elizabeth. And great grandchild Ella.
Roberta attended Georgetown College, where she was crowned Miss Georgetown and also met Harry. They married prior to completing her studies. She would continue studies later in life. But initially supported her husband as he attended seminary and then throughout his career and calling as a Baptist minister.
She was an avid seamstress. Often making her own clothes. Roberta was active in the churches where Harry served. Quite often serving as pianist or organist.
Her love of music continued throughout her life. Having a career as a piano and organ teacher and expressed through her own compositions.
There will be no public service.
