Gregory "Greg" Alan Warren
Gregory "Greg" Alan Warren, 59, of Godfrey, IL passed away unexpectedly at home the morning of Saturday, March 29, 2025.
He was born October 4, 1965 in Alton, IL the son of Floyd and Linda (Lageman) Warren.
Growing up, Greg had a passion for music and in junior high, taught himself to DJ. During his time at Alton High School, he went on to start his own business DJing with one of his best friends Troy Fleming.
Greg was an Eagle Scout who embodied the principles of the motto, and a handy man with his degree from Ranken Technical College. After graduating, he was self-employed in instrumentation process control.
For the last seven years, Greg has been a well-known, friendly face at the Alton Lowe's store. He truly looked forward to his work day, and always made sure his customers had everything needed for their projects. He was also a member of the East End Improvement Association.
Greg enjoyed spending his down time camping and fishing, traveling, enjoying golf, helping others, cracking jokes, socializing, and relaxing. In his last days, his family and friends were able to spend some good times with him.
Greg will be sorely missed by all;
He is free at last.
Greg is survived by both parents; his daughter and son, Caroline and Alex Warren; their mother, Tricia Eckhouse Jones; his wife, Renee Lansdon Warren; his stepchildren, Jeremy (Jensen) and Nikki Lansdon; and his step grandchildren, Madisyn, Ryker, and Rory; he is also survived by brother, Jeff Warren.
Greg is preceded in death by his beloved son, Jacksen "Jack" Gregory Warren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12 p.m. noon on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Burial will be at Upper Alton Cemetery. Jeremy Drake will officiate.
Following funeral services, a celebration of life will be held at the Alton Moose Lodge.
