Gregory "Greg" Leonard Woodis, age 62 of Winchester, passed away on October 23, 2025, at High Point Health in Winchester, Tennessee. Born on November 14, 1962, in Cherokee, Alabama, Greg grew up with a deep appreciation for family, hard work and working with his hands. While Greg worked as an electrician and business owner, his greatest pride and joy came from raising his son, Beau, and later nurturing his stepchildren. He was an avid Bama football fan and always enjoyed his time coaching little league baseball. Greg enjoyed fishing and the outdoors, woodworking, singing and playing guitar, and working on anything with an engine. In the later years of his life, Greg found great fulfillment as an active sponsor in the Alcoholics Anonymous program, and he regularly led meetings at the Franklin County Jail. In addition to his parents, Greg was preceded in death by his first wife, Camille (Prestera) Woodis; parents, Walter Leonard Woodis, Jr., and Marie Kathleen Diggle Woodis; paternal grandparents, Walter "Doc" Woodis and Velma Waldrep Woodis; maternal grandparents, Frederick Diggle Jr. and Leona M. Diggle. Greg is survived by his loving wife, Julie Woodis, whom he married on May 12, 2012; his son, Beau Michael (Margaret Bishop) Woodis; and his stepchildren, Jordan Austin and Reagan Austin; grandsons, Bishop Mills Woodis, Brooks Michael Woodis; siblings, Deborah (Tony) Tubbs, Lynn (Rock) Hall; and many nieces and nephews. Greg will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the unwavering love he shared with his family and friends. His willingness to lend a hand, whether in the community, with his family, or through his work in Alcoholics Anonymous, left a lasting mark on everyone he encountered. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 12pm-2pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Memorial Service will follow at 2pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
