Greg was born February 4, 1967, to Mary Lou Wren (M.L.). Greg departed this life March 13, 2024, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Greg was born and raised in Newport, Arkansas, he was baptized at an early age and became a member of Greater Morning Star Church in Newport, Arkansas. He attended Gibbs Albright Elementary and was a graduate of Newport High School Class of 1985. Greg participated in both football and basketball during his high school years.
Greg was a true fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed watching the Arkansas Razorbacks. More than that his heart was always filled with joy when watching his daughter participate in sports and cheering. He also loved watching his nephews play football and basketball as well.
Greg was employed by Vecta Environment out of Louisiana. He worked for them for nineteen years.
Greg will be greatly missed by all that knew him. His smile, his laughter will remain in our hearts forever.
Greg leaves to cherish his loving memories, his son, Alexander Xavier Capers I "Alex", his daughter, Jazlyn Wren "Jazzy", his grandson, Alexander Xavier Capers II. He also leaves his mother, Mary Lou Wren (M.L.) of Newport, his brothers, Hubert Wren of Newport and Gerald Wren of Nebraska, his sisters, Pamela Gladney of Newport, Valerie Wren of Newport, and Carla Wren of Pine Bluff, special friends, Derrick Curry, Dondia Phillips, Tony Jones, Kelly Burton, and Milton Owens, Special uncle, Marcus Brown and special cousins, Ryan Landrum and David Wren.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Kaylon Gladney, Lee Vaughn Gladney-Clark, Jordan Nicholson, Josh Nicholson, Xavier Rucker, and Abram Wren-Hobbs. Honorary pallbearers are Hubert Wren, Gerald Wren, Calvin Wren, Terry Dodson, Darvail Wren and the Class of 1985.
Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2024.
