Gregory Glenn Wright

Gregory Glenn Wright was born April 11,1965 in Denison, Texas, to Freddie Paul Wright and Alma Lou Wright. He grew up playing youth sports through the Denison Boys Club, he played football as a Panther and a Yellow Jacket where he met many lifelong friends. Greg attended Denison Schools and graduated from Denison High School in 1983. He attended Tarleton State University and then The University of North Texas. He worked for Texas Instruments and various other jobs, but ultimately, he worked for his dad remodeling houses and for W&W Tree Service with his brother Mark and Tom Utter for over 20 years.

Greg was a true outdoorsman: hunting, fishing, camping and water skiing, alongside many true friends and family, where he forged memories with all of those beside him. Greg was an uncle to nephews Garrett and Gavin Wright. He was a Great Uncle to Tobias Lane and Marleigh Wright. He had a Heart as Big as the Earth he stood on: Kind, Loving and would give the shirt off his back to anyone. He will always be in the Hearts of those in his Family and those he crossed paths within his lifetime.

Greg was preceded in death by his father Freddie Paul Wright and grandparents Floyd and Anna Mae Wright, Jack and Myrtle Boaz, dear cousin Robert Joseph Boaz, Uncle Larry Paul Boaz, Aunt Alpha Sue Reister and many other close family and friends.

He is survived by his mother Alma Lou Wright and his Best Friend and brother, Mark Wright; nephews, Garrett and Gavin Wright and great-niece and nephew, Marleigh and Tobias Lane Wright. Many cousins he adored including Bobby, Brett, Tammy and Lisa Reister and Jason Boaz, Kim Rogers, Jeremy Wright, Aunt Phyllis and Uncle David Taylor and Uncle Brian Wright. Sincere gratitude to cousin Glenda Reeves for all of her Love and patience helping Greg with so many things over these last years. God Bless You.

Greg will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Fly High Greg, you are in the Heavenly arms of God and all of your family who have waited for you, to hold you again and love you like always before.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2026, at Fisher Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Gene Amerson, officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, in Sherman, TX. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Garrett Wright, Gavin Wright, Chris Cravey, Jason Boaz, Wylie Platt, and Mike Dastous. Honorary pallbearers will be Kim Rogers, and Mark Wright.
