Quinn-Shalz Funeral Home & Cremation CentreGregory Francis Zuza, 49, passed peacefully in his sleep the morning of October 8, 2025. Greg was born on September 3, 1976, in Point Pleasant, NJ and spent his childhood in Crystal Lake, IL; Wayne, NJ; and Barrington, IL. As an adult, Greg lived in Palm Coast, FL before recently moving to Jacksonville Beach, FL this past year.
At an early age, Greg was an avid enthusiast of all things GI Joe, Marvel and DC Comics, Star Wars and Dune related that continued throughout his life collecting related memorabilia. Greg also held a variety of interests through the ages that included fishing, biking, golfing, driving, paintballing, archery, snowboarding, cross country, track and field and playing the saxophone and piano. He always enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and even more so when it meant sharing either an Italian, Mexican or Seafood feast.
Greg is survived by his parents, William and Teresita Reyes Zuza Jr; brother, William (Christine) Zuza III; sister, Aprille Zuza County; nephews, William Zuza IV and Hayden Zuza; niece, Audrey Zuza; aunts, Sylvia (Gary) Knapp, Soledad Reyes and Remedios Reyes Llantos; and dog, Jelly Bean. Greg is predeceased by his uncles, Robert Zuza and Benjamin Reyes; and aunt, Marcella Reyes Rosales.
Viewing of Greg’s ashes will be on Saturday; October 18, 2025, in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church (4600 Belle Terre Pkwy, Palm Coast, FL 32164) at 12:30 pm ET followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 1:30 pm ET. The Rite of Committal will follow at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Columbarium where Greg’s ashes will be entombed.
