Greta Ruminer Obituary
Greta Loy Ruminer, Seminole resident, passed away on May 26, 2023 in Oklahoma City, at the age of 84. Greta was born on November 27, 1938 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Woodrow Haney and Hattie (Harjo) Haney. She spent most of her life in the Seminole area. Greta attended Bacone College and was a retired nurse. She married Allen Ruminer 52 years ago.
Greta enjoyed beadwork, arts and crafts projects and painting. She was a member of Seminole Nation Older Americans Program.
Greta is survived by her son, William "Keith" Ruminer of Oklahoma City; brother, Terry "Hutki" Spencer of Edmond; grandson, Keith Anthony Ruminer and many other family and friends.
Greta was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Ruminer; brothers, Kelly Haney, William Haney Jr. and Willie Haney and sister, Nona Harjo.
Greta's memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
