Gretchen R. (Catron) Gregory, 65, of New Castle passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026 at IU Health, Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born July 9, 1960 in New Castle to the late General Isaac “Junie” and Barbara (Binford) Catron.

A homemaker, Gretchen cared for many children and grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She loved her family dearly and also loved Jesus. Gretchen devoted her life to God. She enjoyed decorating, her flower garden, road trips and she loved nature and being outdoors.

She is survived by her life partner, Scott Brown; 2 daughters, Jennifer Gregory and Stephanie Gregory both of New Castle; grandchildren, Sabrina, Harly, Samarah, Isaac and Megan; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Elaine (Lynn) Catron Dobbs of New Castle; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Tim and Nathan Catron; sister, Holly Byrd and a special cousin, Linda Simpson.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2026 at Green Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Brian Kolb officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to the Henry County Cancer Society through the Henry County Community Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
