Guadalupe G. Mancha, affectionately known as Lupe by her friends and family, passed away peacefully of natural causes on the 31st of October, 2025, in
Odessa, TX. Born on October 13, 1940, in Haskell, TX, to the late Guadalupe Gamez and Alfonsa (Garza) Gamez, Lupe's vibrant spirit and loving nature touched the lives of many during her 85 years.
Lupe was a beacon of creativity and warmth throughout her life. Her hands were rarely still, as she channeled her artistic talents into sewing, crafting Barbie doll clothes with meticulous detail, from charming dresses to the tiniest of undergarments. This passion for creation extended to making cozy blankets, each stitch infused with love for her family and friends. She also had a gift for cross-stitching and painting, often capturing the rustic beauty of barns surrounded by lush gardens in her artwork. Her love for her family was as evident in her creations as it was in every aspect of her life.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness in her children, Dulces Mancha Jr., Ruben Mancha, Concepcion Mancha, Samuel (Yolanda) Mancha, and Rodney (Pam) Kempke. Her memory will be cherished by her loving sisters, Dominga Barrera and Mary Martinez. Lupe's grandchildren, who brought her immense joy, include Candy Ann Rodriguez, Veronica Galindo, Marc Anthony Mancha, Candace Aumiller, Valerie Mancha, Ruben Jr. Mancha, Samson Mancha, Erica Gonzalez, Jeremy Mancha, Michael Mancha, Emire Mancha, Savannah Hilton, Rodney "HotRod" Kempke, Timothy Melendez, Brandon Melendez, Crystal Solis, Kacee Stergeon, Tabitha Mancha, Britanny, Bubba, Bradley, Bianca, and Jeremy Hernandez. Her life was a testament to her enduring love and the deep connections she fostered with each of them.
Lupe was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dulces D. Mancha, who was no doubt waiting to welcome her with open arms, along with her son Mike Mancha and granddaughter Amanda Betancourt. She was also greeted in the afterlife by her brothers, Victor Gamez, Jesse Gamez, and Juan Gamez; her sister, Ramona Contreras; and two sister angel babies.
Those who knew Lupe will remember her as the embodiment of love and kindness. Her creativity was only matched by her generosity, and she was always eager to share her talents with those around her. She had a unique ability to make each person feel special and loved, a gift that will continue to resonate in the hearts of her family and friends.
As we bid farewell to Guadalupe G. Mancha, we do so with the knowledge that her spirit lives on in the beauty she created and the love she gave so freely. Her memory will be a source of comfort and inspiration, reminding us to cherish the simple joys of life and to hold our loved ones close. Lupe's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, kindness, and creativity, a masterpiece that will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
