It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gunner Gordon Lee, who left this world too soon at the young age of 20 on Thursday, October 2, 2025, due to a tragic accident in Platte County, Missouri. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Gunner's vibrant spirit at a visitation at Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Fellowship Church - Raymore Campus. Interment will follow at Orient Cemetery in Harrisonville, MO. Everyone is invited to The District on the Square in Harrisonville after interment, food will be provided.

Born on April 14, 2005, in Kansas City, MO, to Jake Lee and Christine (Fitzwater) Lee, Gunner was a bright light to all who knew him, known for his infectious smile, boundless energy, and unwavering kindness. Gunner was a proud graduate of Harrisonville High School, Class of 202. Gunner was an avid athlete, with a deep love for both wrestling and soccer, cherishing every moment spent with his teams and coaches. His competitive spirit and camaraderie inspired those around him, making him a beloved teammate and friend.

Gunner had gone on to embark on a career as a carpenter with the Carpenter's Union Local 1127 working for E&K of Kansas City, MO, where he found joy in building and creating. He cherished every moment spent working in commercial construction, approaching each project with dedication and enthusiasm. He had a profound love for cars and motorcycles, often expressing how proud he was to finally purchase his dream car, an Audi. His enthusiasm for speed and freedom on the open road resonated with everyone who knew him, and many fond memories were made as friends and family hit the road alongside him.

Gunner is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Diane Fitzwater; his paternal grandmother, Lisa Lee; and his aunt, Michelle Fitzwater. He is survived by a loving family who will forever hold him close in their hearts. Gunner is remembered by his father, Jake (Rachel) Lee, of Peculiar, MO; his mother, Christine Lee, of Grandview, MO; his brothers: Gavin (Alyssa) Lee of Pleasant Valley, MO; and Jamison Grissom of Grandview, MO; his sisters: Jillian and Josie Lee of Peculiar, MO; and Grace Grissom of Grandview, MO; his very loved and adored girlfriend, Makayla Chick, of Raymore, MO; his aunts: Stacey (Ben) Borgic of Michigan; and Jessica Barnett of Kearney, MO; his uncles: Jackson (Heather) Lee of Harrisonville, MO; and Jeremy Felts of Harrisonville, MO; his cousins: Kylee Bohle, Alyssa Alverado, Brody Barnett, Finley Anderson, and Bailey Anderson; his maternal grandfather, Mike (Paula) Fitzwater, of Harrisonville, MO; and many extended friends and family. Each of these relationships brought him happiness and warmth, and he will be deeply missed by all.

As we gather to remember Gunner, let us carry forward his legacy of kindness and strength, celebrating the moments of laughter and joy he brought into our lives. May his spirit continue to inspire us all.
