Our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and Friend -- Gurmit Singh Sodhi of Anaheim, California entered into the Eternal Life on July 17, 2024 Gurmit was born on February 22, 1945, to late Mr. & Mrs. Chanan Singh and Udam Kaur in Ba, Fiji Islands. He married Jeeto Kaur Badesha on August 14, 1963. They had seven children together and nine grandchildren. Before migrating from the Fiji Islands with his family in 1990, he worked as a sugarcane farmer. Upon arriving in Southern California he took on a role at a local grocery store and retired in 2004. Since then he has played a huge role in taking care of his grandchildren: Jasneal, Simran, Jaskirat and Jasleen. In his younger years, he held a keen interest in training horses for races. Some of his favorite hobbies included playing soccer, bike rides though the park, playing card games, watching wrestling matches, movies and capturing joyous moments with kids and grandkids. In 2009, he became Amritdhari Sikh. Gurmit Sodhi is survived by his wife Mrs. Jeeto Kaur Sodhi and children Charanjit Sodhi, Amarjit Sodhi & wife Satvindar Sodhi, Hardeep Sandhu & husband Kamal Sandhu, Tina Sodhi & husband Gurwinder Garcha, Rashpreet Kaur & husband Jagmail Dosanjh, along with grandchildren Jasneal Sodhi, Simran, Jaskirat & Jasleen Sandhu, Saia & Anaya Garcha, Manvir, Harnir & Luvnir Dosanjh, as well as brothers Mahendra Sodhi, Malkit Sodhi, Sarjeet Sodhi with special regard to his deceased brother Jagendra Sodhi, his oldest daughter Salandar Kaur and son Daljeet Singh
