Hagen, Gus Jr. age 91 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away Monday, September 22, 2025 at Otterbein Tipp City Senior Life Community. He was born January 12, 1934 in Troy, Ohio to Gus and Laura {Baker} Hagen Sr. Gus is preceded in death by his parents and sisters Wilma Inman and Linda Crommes and step siblings John, Mary, and Grace. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Nancy {Cleckner} Hagen of Tipp City, children Kelly (Don) Rose of Tipp City and Kurt (Kim) Hagen of Tipp City and sister Betty Kessler of Troy, Ohio. Also surviving are grandsons Christian Kurtis Hagen, Daniel Taylor Hagen and Ryan Michael Rose.

Gus was a graduate of Troy High school where he played football and basketball. Immediately after high school, he went to work for Oberer Construction. Then Bevan Fetters started Northmont Engineers and hired Gus who would soon become his "right hand man". He worked for Northmont Engineers for nearly 60 years, until Bevan retired and closed the business. Gus was a very hard working man and spent his free time with his family. His favorite hobby was fishing and ice fishing at Lake Erie, which he enjoyed with his many friends and family members. He would frequent the Fisherman Headquarters in Dayton to drink coffee and catch up with friends. Gus liked watching OSU football during the Woody Hayes Era, a fan of Duke Basketball, and made many trips to the Indianapolis 500. He loved watching his grandsons play sports. Gus was not a big traveler but would make a yearly visit to Las Vegas to visit his daughter Kelly and her family at Christmas time. His memory will live on in all who knew and loved him.

A visitation will be held 2:00 PM until time of Memorial Service at 4:00 PM Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371.
