Guy Brash Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cheney Funeral Chapel - Cheney on Nov. 5, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

A legend has gone to Heaven! Guy Eugene Brash passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025, with his loving caregiver/great-niece Sammantha Reeser, by his side.

Gene was born on May 22, 1931, to Guy and Dolly Brash. Gene grew up on the family ranch outside of Spangle, Washington, and graduated from Spangle High School, where he was avid in sports, especially basketball.

Gene proudly served in the US Air Force, stationed in Germany. Gene had many different jobs related to farming and ranching, but he found his true calling working as a mule packer in Glacier National Park and his last 20 years before retirement with the USFS, packing in the Bob Marshall Wilderness, where his family used to hunt. Gene had many love interests and had two children, Kimberly Kaplan and Clint Brash, but his true love was Gayle Smith and the mountains of Montana.

There are so many stories he could tell and so many his friends and family will still tell! Gene will be missed by all who met him!

Gene is preceded in death by his parents Guy and Dolly, brother Gary, sister Patricia, daughter Kimberly, and his patient partner Gayle. Gene is survived by his sister, Priscilla (Terry), son Clint (Arlene), numerous nieces and nephews, and numerous grand and great-grandchildren.
