Beth Lynn Conrath

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Beth. She courageously battled brain cancer for 10 years while teaching full-time and raising her two sons, Ryan and Tyler, who were the love of her life.

Beth grew up in Cheney and graduated from Cheney High School in 1996. She was an avid athlete, both in track and volleyball, and continued to play volleyball at SFCC. She attended WSU and graduated with a BA in Education and completed a Master's Degree at Gonzaga University.

Her love of kids was apparent early on as she became a ski instructor in her early teens at 49°North, where she taught many groups of preschool and early elementary-aged students. She taught in the Cheney School District for 24 years at Sunset Elementary and was loved by both her students and colleagues.

Beth loved the outdoors and enjoyed jogging, camping, hiking, and watching her boys participate in their sports at East Valley. Her favorite place to relax was at Twin Lakes in Idaho, enjoying family time and reading numerous books.

She leaves behind her sons, Ryan and Tyler; their dad, Chris; and the Conrath family: her parents, Kirk and Lisa Madison; her brother, Aaron (Stephanie) Madison; and her nieces, Ava and Alaina Madison.

Many thanks to her numerous friends who provided love and support during the tough times.

A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
