Guy Craddock Obituary
Born in Tyrrell County to Cecil and Blanche Norman Craddock, Guy later grew up in Beaufort County, North Carolina. In 1952, he joined the United States Army, where he faithfully served his country for the next 20 years, including during the Korean War. After retiring from military service, Guy and his wife returned to Belhaven, where they enjoyed the past 70 years surrounded by family and friends.
In 1955, Guy married the love of his life, Alice Thompson. Together, they built a beautiful life and celebrated 70 years of marriage on October 15, 2025. Their bond was an enduring testament to love, faith, and devotion.
Guy was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was deeply committed to his faith and community.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Alice Craddock; four children, Johnny Craddock, Roy Craddock, Michael Craddock (Brittany), and Heather Spruill; and a great-grandson, Dalton Craddock. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Christopher Craddock (Amy), Kathryn Craddock, Valerie Boyd, Douglas Masters, and Tommy Masters.
Guy was preceded in death by his parents, Blanche and Cecil Craddock; his sister, Catherine Spencer; and his brother, Charles Craddock.
Guy will be remembered for his unwavering love of family, his quiet strength, and his lifelong dedication to service and faith. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Joseph B. Paul Funeral Service at 2:00pm. An Interment will follow immediately after at Yeatesville Cemetery.
