Guy Howerton Obituary
Guy was born in Xenia, OH on July 9, 1950 to the late Dow and Evelyn (Donoher) Howerton. After schooling, Guy joined the US Army and served his country honorably in Vietnam from 1967-1968. Once Guy and Lucille were married, they started their family while also starting his own plumbing business. Guy owned and operated "Guy Howerton Plumbing" where he gained many loyal customers over the many years of business. Guy's passion was his music. He was very musically inclined and talented. He loved playing guitar in a band and also playing solo. He even built his own guitars from scratch as a hobby. Guy also loved his wife's homemade Italian cooking!
Besides his wife, Guy will be missed by his son, Bryant and countless nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his Mom and Dad (Evelyn and Dow Howerton).
A Mass of Christian Burial for Guy will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main Street South in Southbury. Interment will immediately follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Watertown. Arrangements are under the direction of the Carpino Funeral Home in Southbury.

And I will miss his humor. He always made me laugh with something he said or did. He had a unique sense of humor that always put a smile on my face. I will miss that!

Guy will be forever missed. For 11 years, he has given me the opportunity to be a member of his band Blue Collar Project, and gave me the awesome opportunity to front his band along with him as a Lead Singer, as well as background singer, flutist and saxophonist. The performing opportunities I have been given these past 11 years with Guy have been invaluable. He was such an awesome guitarist and will miss his guitar solos. I will take what I have learned on with me to my next musical adventure. Blue Collar Project was the best. Guy will be missed. RIP.
