Rev. Mr. Guy Anthony Piche

Rev. Mr. Guy Anthony Piché passed away peacefully on a Sunday morning April 14, 2024 at his home at Givens Highland Farms in Black Mountain, NC, after a period of illness and loving care.
Guy was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Gaston County, North Carolina to attend Belmont Abbey College. He lived in Gaston County for most of his life, after marrying Rachel Edwards of Belmont, NC. Rachel and Guy raised two children in a loving and nurturing home and Guy worked as an accounting professional and later as a property director for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Charlotte. Guy also served as a volunteer for a variety of organizations, including the Knights of Columbus, the Belmont Rescue Squad, and later as an ordained Permanent Deacon of the Roman Catholic Church, serving the parish of Queen of the Apostles in Belmont, NC, and later St. Helen Church in Spencer Mountain, NC. Guy was known and loved by his co-workers, neighbors, and fellow parishioners as a light of joy and faith.
Rev. Mr. Piché is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene E. Piché and Theresa L. Piché. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rachel Piché of Black Mountain, NC; his brother, Justin Piché of Hollywood, FL; his son, Jason Piché (Spouse, Catherine Piche) of Blacksburg, VA; his daughter, Lauren Rash (Spouse, Jacob Rash) of Black Mountain, NC, and three grandchildren, Lyra Piché, Fletcher Rash, and Josephine Piché.
A memorial and celebration of Guy's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at St. Helen Catholic Church, 341 Dallas Spencer Mountain, Rd., Gastonia, NC 28206. In lieu of flowers, those desiring to make a memorial contribution are encouraged to consider making donations in Guy's memory to St. Helen Catholic Church in c/o Kent Lewis at 4028 River Falls Dr., Lowell, NC 28098, and the Resident Assistance Ministry at Givens Highland Farms, https://givenscommunities.org/giving/.
