Guy Gordon Timmons

Guy Gordon Timmons, 83, entered heaven's gates at 12:41 AM on March 18, 2024, while in York Hospital after a brief illness.
Guy was the first born to Guy S. and Elsie (Bingham) Timmons on May 31st, 1940.
He was a graduate of the 1958 class of Chambersburg Area Senior High School, where he was active in the F.F.A.
Guy assisted his parents with their dairy farm and businesses in Orrstown for many years while operating his own farm and raising beef cattle. In August of 1987, Guy established his own trucking company, Timco trucking, with his sons, Tim and Chris. Guy loved driving long haul or locally and enjoyed taking cross country trips to Wyoming, where he loved to be. He often said, "My eyes become a movie camera and I can see the scenery over in my mind."
Guy was an avid hunter, starting in the mid-sixties, traveling to Wyoming and Colorado areas with family and friends yearly. He met many future and long-time friends that he considered family as well as adding to his vast hunting trophies.
Guy was a member of the Wyoming Wildlife Federation, National Rifle Association, Pennsylvania Farm Bureau Association, Club Code AAA Member for 68 years, Arbor Day Foundation and the RMEF Foundation.
Guy is survived by his wife of forty years, Judy McGee Timmons, 5 children, Paige (Ed) Lapinski, Timothy (Chrystal) Timmons, Chris (Joy) Timmons, Mary (Mark) Sanders and a stepdaughter, Rushele Wingert. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Lauren Lapinski, Alex Lapinski, Cortney (Brian) Hanks, Brandi (Darwin) Garber, Brittani (Ryan) Black, Hannah (Daryl) Weaver, Taber (Derek) Miller, Robin (Matthew) Halteman, Denton Timmons, Dillon (Chelsey) Sanders, Clay (Saige) Sanders, and Nevaeh Raine Warren.
Also surviving are 17 great grandchildren, Dani, Heidi, Nellie, Hays, Rafe, and Tate Weaver, Maxwell and Raleigh Hanks, Cole, Conner, Reid and Rory Garber, Grant Black, Ray Miller, Jimmy, Mitch and Inez Halteman. Additional survivors include 5 siblings, Thomas (Ramona) Timmons, Tena Heckman, Dave (Linda) Timmons, Dan (Joann) Timmons and William Timmons.
A viewing will be held in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 17615 Path Valley Road, Spring Run, on Sat., March 23rd between 4 and 7 PM, followed by a service with Pastor Tim Vaughn from 7 to 8 PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in the Path Valley Cemetery.
