Gwen Adcock, passed away on July 22, 2025, at the age of 69 in Campbellsburg, Carroll County, Kentucky. Born on November 5, 1955, in Carrollton, Carroll County, Kentucky, Gwen’s life was marked by her unwavering commitment to helping others and her deep sense of community.
A Certified Nursing Assistant, Gwen worked diligently at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital and for Dr. Carl Cooper's Office. Her compassionate nature touched many lives, and her efforts in healthcare were a testament to her character and values.
Gwen was a member of the Turning Point Apostolic Pentecostal Church of the Living God.. She was actively involved, embodying the spirit of giving through her work with various organizations, including as a volunteer for Trimble County 4-H and the Kentucky Sheep and Wool Providers Association. Gwen had a passion for collecting antiques and knick-knacks, always seeking treasures that held stories of the past. She cherished her time spent "on the go," enjoying delicious meals out, and had a particular fondness for ice cream, which brought her great joy.
Gwen is survived by her loving husband, Warren Adcock, Jr., of Campbellsburg, KY; her daughter, Jessica Nicole (Jordon) Dennison of Bedford, KY; her son, David Lee Adcock of Louisville, KY; and her granddaughter, Isabella (Dustin) Wright of Altus, OK. She leaves behind a legacy of love and commitment to her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Gladys Lee Horine Penick; her sisters, Mary Ruth Williams and Dorothy Penick; and her brother, David Lee Penick. Gwen's memory will remain alive in the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Turning Point Apostolic Pentecostal Church of the Living God, located at 124 Smith Lane, Bedford, KY 40006. A funeral service will take place Friday August 1 , 2025, at 11:00 AM, at the church with burial to follow in the Karr Cemetery in Campbellsburg, KY.
Gwen Adcock’s warmth, kindness, and dedication to her family will forever be cherished.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Turning Point Apostolic Pentecostal Church of the Living God.
