GWENDOLYN MILLER

GWENDOLYN MILLER 12/25/1943 - 11/10/2025 Gwendolyn Ann Miller, 81, a woman known for her deep faith, community service, and devotion to her family, passed away peacefully at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, Ky., on November 10, 2025. Born on December 25, 1943, in Aurora, Ind., Gwen was the daughter of the late William and Loretta Fehrman. She was a proud graduate of Aurora High School, class of 1961. Gwen's life was a testament to service and love. For more than 60 years, she was a faithful servant to her church, community, and local nursing homes, playing the organ with passion and dedication. She had previously worked at Hartwell Denmure, Stedman Foundry and Schenley Distillery. Her commitment to helping others extended beyond the church walls; she generously volunteered her time with Meals on Wheels, the American Heart Association, and Lawrenceburg Public Library. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority for 60 years and won the Founder's Award. She was a Dearborn County Community Foundation Heart of Gold recipient and was inducted into the Southeastern Indiana Musician's Association Hall of Fame. On May 14, 1965, Gwen married the love of her life, George Miller. They shared 59 years of a beautiful and enduring partnership. Gwen was a cherished mother to her four children, whom she raised with boundless love: Greg (Terri Bennett) Miller, Glenn Miller, Gloria (Todd) Huegel, and Georgeann (Eric) Doan. She was a doting and proud grandmother to Jessica and Thaddeus Olson, Elise and Allison Doan, and Grace Miller and a great-grandmother to Andrew Hatton. She treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren, leaving them with a legacy of kindness and strength. Gwen was preceded in death by her parents, William and Loretta Fehrman, her brother Melvin Fehrman and her husband George. Her quiet strength, gentle spirit, and unwavering kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A memorial service was held to celebrate Gwen's life Friday, November 14, 2025 at 6 p.m. at Rullman-Hunger Funeral Home in Aurora. Visitation preceded the service beginning at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to one of the organizations she so passionately supported: American Heart Association or Lawrenceburg Public Library District.
