Gwendolyn C.S. Reeves, age 47, passed away on December 2, 2025 in McHenry, MS. She was born on August 16, 1978 in Gulfport, MS to W.L. Walters and Kathy Keen.
Gwendolyn Reeves was a loving, caring woman whose heart shined through everything she did. She loved her family fiercely, and her world revolved around her husband, her children, and her mother. Always smiling, always outgoing, and always lifting others up, she brought joy wherever she went. To her husband, she was everything—his partner, his strength, and the light of his life.
Gwendolyn was deeply devoted to the Lord and had a strong, prayerful relationship with Him. She loved to cook, loved to laugh, and loved making others smile. Her daughters were her pride, and she supported her children with unwavering dedication. A true warrior mother, she did everything she could to care for and protect her family.
Her heart for others extended far beyond her home. Gwendolyn was a passionate advocate for people with special needs, especially her beloved daughter Marimae. Her life revolved around ensuring Marimae lived a full, happy, and active life, and her greatest joy came from being on the road with her, keeping her busy and enjoying every moment. She attended the Special Olympics at Camp Shelby every year and stood as a voice, friend, and champion for the special needs community. She was a faithful member of North Wood Church of Wiggins and lived her faith boldly and tenderly.
Gwendolyn also loved to read, loved to laugh, and loved simply being with the people she cared about.
She is preceded in death by her father, WL Walters Sr., her brother, Edward Wells; and her niece, Amber Barnard.
She is survived by her loving husband of thirteen years, Alan Davis; her children: son, Anthony (Bailey) Walters; daughters, Marimae Rose and Casey (Thomas) Holland; her mother, Kathy Keen; her grandchildren, Caroline Holland, Paizleigh Holland, Arya Wren Holland, and Priscilla Walters; her sister, Patty (Bobby) Sloan; her brother, William (Shawna) Wells; her niece, Shauntel Martinez; and her nephews, Charles (Cherish) Beerman and JJ (Rachel) Wells.
Gwendolyn was a beautiful soul who lived with purpose, love, and faith. She will be deeply missed and forever treasured.
