Her Legacy… Gwendolyn "Tiny" Richter (Bennett) was born on November 17, 1940, and passed away on August 21, 2025, at the age of 84. A lifelong resident of Hamburg, Tiny grew up in the community she would cherish for the rest of her life. She attended Hamburg Elementary School and graduated in the top ten of her class from Ann Arbor High School in 1958, where she also served as class secretary. Following graduation, she began her career with Madison Electric Company.

On June 16, 1962, Tiny married the love of her life, Harold "Skip" Richter. Together they made their home on Hamburg Lake, where they raised their family and shared 63 wonderful years. Deeply committed to her community, Tiny was one of the founding organizers for the Livingston County United Way in the late 1970s and early 1980s. She also founded the Women's Unit for the Hamburg Volunteer Fire Department in 1973 and served for 13 years. Beginning in the mid-1980s Tiny worked alongside her husband at Skip's Repair doing bookkeeping for 40 years. Alongside her community work, she found great joy in gardening, cooking, baking, canning, and collecting antiques. Her kindness, warmth, and devotion to family created a home filled with love, and she will be dearly missed by her friends and family.

Her Family… Gwendolyn will be missed by her children, Amber (Kevin) Wright, Bart (Patty) Richter; siblings, Alice Kapp, Pete Bennett, Rocky (Gwen) Bennett; grandchildren, Hunter (Gracie) Wright, Alia Wright, Layla Richter; great grandchildren, Hazel Wright, Vivian Wright, Levi Wright; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Skip Richter; son, Matt Richter; sister, Beverly Liggett; and brother, Butch Bennett.

Her Farewell… Gwendolyn's family and friends will gather on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel in Hamburg, Michigan. Her Community Farewell will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 11:00 at Borek Jennings Funeral Homes, Hamburg Chapel. (Gathering starts at 10:00 AM) Larry Vanslambrook will serve as the celebrant. Memorial contributions are suggested to Livingston County Special Olympics.
