Hai was born December 09, 1951 in Saigon, Vietnam. He immigrated to the United States in 1980 and settled in Syracuse, NY. He met his long time wife Quyen Truong in 1982 and married soon after. He prided himself in his strong work ethic, spending most of his life working two full time custodial jobs between St Joseph's Hospital and the Syracuse Airport. He supported his kids through the completion of a prestigious college education, something he envisioned for himself but never finished due to the unrest in Vietnam at the time.
In addition to work, he prided himself in his extensive karaoke collection, often celebrating late into the night to good music, delicious food, and dear friends. His laughter and song will be deeply missed by all.
Hai passed on March 09, 2026 surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren. As per his wishes, a humble cremation ceremony will be held to honor his passing to his eternal peace. He is survived by his wife Quyen, brothers, sisters, daughters, son , and 6 grand daughters.
