Hailey Trumble Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Traub Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. - Central Square on Aug. 4, 2024.
It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Hailey Elizabeth Trumble, age 19, on August 1, 2024. Hailey, together with her sister Shelby, left us far too soon, but in her brief time, she touched countless lives with her kindness, creativity, and vibrant spirit. Born on December 10th, 2004, Hailey was known for her compassionate heart and unwavering kindness. She was a 2023 graduate of the Hannibal Central School District, where she excelled academically and completed the Digital Media Technology program through CiTi BOCES. Hailey inspired her peers and teachers alike with her dedication and enthusiasm. After graduating, she worked at Tully's Restaurant in North Syracuse and more recently at Texas Roadhouse in Oswego.
Hailey actively sought to find her place in the world, and to understand what would bring her purpose and joy. This joy was never more evident than when Hailey was caring for the young children of her family and friends, and she recently made the decision to study Early Childhood Development. She was to begin a new job at a daycare facility on Monday, which she hoped would one day lead to opening her own daycare. Beyond school and work, Hailey was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and loved her family deeply. She had an especially close relationship with her father, sister, and brother, and enjoyed simple, quiet moments spent together.
Hailey had tremendous empathy and love for animals that started at a young age. She was a natural caregiver and her compassionate nature was evident when she was attending to her family pets, including the abandoned kitten she had recently adopted and named Bandit. Hailey's family and friends will forever cherish the memories of her laughter, warmth, and the joy she brought into every moment. She leaves behind her father, Brian, and mother, Tina; her older brother, Riley; her paternal grandparents, Patrick and Mary; her maternal grandmother, Mary; her paternal great-grandmother, Margaret; stepsisters, Ciana and Addison, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will always remember her with love and pride.
Hailey's family is thankful she made the selfless decision to be an organ donor and give the gift of life to many others. Hailey was cremated together with her beloved sister, Shelby, and their ashes will be spread among the places they lived and loved together.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, August 10th at Traub Funeral Home, 684 North Main Street in Central Square from 11:00am-4:00pm.
A celebration of Hailey and Shelby's lives will follow at the Hannibal Fire Department on Sunday, August 11th from 1:00pm-4:00pm.
Their father will hold a celebration of their lives and of Shelby's high school graduation at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the CNY Cat Coalition, in honor of Hailey's generous and loving spirit.
While Hailey's time with us was tragically short, her legacy of love, kindness, and strength will endure in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
